Entrepreneurship is a challenging pursuit that requires tenacity and resilience to navigate the unpredictable business environment. This study examines the influence of resilience skills on entrepreneurial success, specifically in Poblacion, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. Resilience skills, including self-awareness, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and adaptability, are essential for entrepreneurs to manage challenges and ensure business sustainability. The study employed a descriptive research design with 100 micro-entrepreneurs across various sectors, selected using purposive heterogeneous sampling. Data were collected through a structured survey and analyzed using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Results indicate a significant positive relationship between resilience skills and entrepreneurial success, with self-awareness and adaptability being the most influential skills. Emotional regulation showed a less direct impact on success, suggesting that while valuable, it requires complementary skills. The study emphasizes the importance of resilience in strategic decision-making, stress management, and market adaptability. These findings support the need for resilience training and mentorship programs to enhance entrepreneurial capabilities. However, the study is limited to micro-entrepreneurs in Poblacion, Tagoloan, and excludes data from larger corporations or regulated sectors. Future research could expand the scope to explore resilience in different business environments and industries. The study’s results contribute to the development of more resilient entrepreneurial ecosystems, offering insights for entrepreneurs, business educators, and policymakers. Promoting resilience through training programs can better prepare entrepreneurs for long-term success, fostering more sustainable and innovative business practices in underserved communities. Additionally, it will improve their capacity to handle external pressures effectively, enhancing their business adaptability and overall resilience.

Thus, this study aimed to determine the influence of tour guide’s performance on the tourist experience. The researchers utilized an adapted questionnaire which was distributed to the one hundred-nine (109) hospitality management students who recently joined the Cebu Educational Tour under subject THC 4 (Philippine Tourism, Geography and Culture) of Tagoloan Community College. Results revealed that the tourists had a good experience in terms of the tour guide’s professional competence, interpersonal skills, empathy, tour services, and guiding services. Thus, this study reveals that there is a significant relationship between the tour guide’s performance and tourist experience. The study recommends that the Department of Tourism and other tourism organizations should invest in the training and continuous development of tour guides and implement a system for regular performance assessments and feedback for tour guides. Equip tour guides with additional resources, such as multimedia presentations, maps, and reference materials, to enhance the educational aspect of the tour. These resources can help convey information more effectively and keep tourists engaged.

Teenage pregnancy remains a pressing public health concern, especially in the Philippines, where the incidence rate continues to rise despite existing interventions. This study focuses on the municipality of Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental—the province’s highest in teenage pregnancy cases—to assess the effectiveness of community-based prevention programs. Using a quantitative research design, data were gathered from residents participating in these programs to evaluate socio-demographic profiles, awareness levels, and beliefs about contraceptive practices and their influence on teenage pregnancy rates. Findings revealed that most respondents, mainly young adults including a notable number of males, demonstrated a good level of awareness of prevention initiatives such as seminar workshops; however, the need for enhanced consultation and reproductive health services was emphasized. Statistical analysis confirmed a significant correlation between community programs and reduced teenage pregnancy rates, indicating that awareness efforts contribute to behavioral change and improved outcomes. Nonetheless, gaps remain in service accessibility and youth engagement. The study concludes that while current initiatives are beneficial, their impact can be strengthened through targeted outreach to marginalized sectors, comprehensive sexual education in schools, and increased youth-friendly health consultations. It further recommends fostering collaboration between local leaders, educators, and healthcare professionals to design interactive, culturally sensitive interventions that encourage open dialogue and responsible decision-making among adolescents. Ultimately, empowering the youth with adequate knowledge, support, and opportunities is vital in reducing teenage pregnancy and ensuring a healthier, more sustainable future for the young population of Tagoloan.
